The book illustrates graphical methods of studying converging rates of various classical orthogonal functions with the use of some standard functions. Some classical orthogonal functions are found to be better in some functions especially if the functions are contained in their expansion like expansion of trigonometric functions in the Fourier representation or polynomials in the Legendre expansion.
Autorentext
Dr. Ali has been a lecturer in the Department of Physics, Bayero University, Kano since 1992. He has been teaching Mathematical Methods beside other courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He supervised many theses in Mathematical modeling and simulations with MATLAB/SIMULINK, COMSOL Multiphysics and in electronic communication.
