Experiential Computing:

Use of computers has revolutionized the operations of all organizations today. Many studies prove that proper use of Information technology helps organizations achieve efficiency and effectiveness in both short term and long term. However, researchers feel that information communication technology has not been adequately utilized particularly in learning institutions in many developing parts of the world. Using computers is still limited by many to places like offices, computer laboratories, libraries and lecture halls. This is because computing is still viewed by majority in terms of large machines that are used and left in the designated places to be used the following day. This leads to inefficiency and reduced productivity as work is limited to offices, computer laboratories, lecture halls and libraries. There is need to adopt experiential computing- the use of computers in our day today life at home, vehicles, trains or aeroplanes- to work and study. Computers should be convenient to carry and easy to use anywhere any time. This will enhance efficiency and effectiveness of employees and students.
