Experimental and Numerical Study of Dilute Gas-Solid Flow

This work aimed to create a whole picture of the dilute phase gas-solid flow behavior and characteristics in 90° duct bend, in order to address the lack of understanding of such system. An understanding of the role of particle properties such as size, and size distribution or erosion pattern will probably provide the solution to the problem. One of the major problems in pneumatic conveying systems is the erosive wear of pipelines. The study aims also to get a better understanding of the main parameters that affect the erosion process in bends.
