Flight Test has always been an opportunity for aerospace engineers and pilots to face the laws of aerodynamics. However, before the advent fluidynamics and predict-test-validate philosophy, there was more than a guess between the test plan production and the positive test campaign conclusion. Nowadays, the advanced prediction tools related to modelling and simulation improvements brought to an increased confidence level on models and represents a great achievement for the safety of flight and risk reduction. Furthermore, thanks to the extensive use of applied mathematics and theory of games in the early test management phase, the opportunity to reduce test points and test matrix dimension is become synonymous of time efficiency and cost reduction, two of the most relevant driving factors in a complex test program.
