Heat transfer is a discipline of thermal engineering that concerns the generation, use, conversion, and exchange of thermal energy and heat between physical systems. Heat transfer is classified into various mechanisms, such as thermal conduction, thermal convection, thermal radiation, and transfer of energy by phase changes. One-dimensional conduction through more complex systems, such as composite walls, is easily analyzed using the thermal resistance concept.Here the apparatus consists of a central heater sandwiched between two sheets. Three types of slabs are provided both sides of heater, which forms a composite structure. A small hand press frame is provided to ensure the perfect contact between the slabs.
