This book on metal working operations including forming processes is being offered to engineering students at various levels. There was a long-felt need to have a book covering the various aspects of sheet metal forming which is an efficient and quick method for manufacturing components. This book has been written with an idea and view. The subject matter has been explained in detail as far as possible number of mathematical formulations have been included. This textbook includes the formability characteristics of welded hot and cold rolled steel sheet metals and also individual rolled sheets. Apart from this the mechanical properties such as bending and hardness of these steel sheet metals are also presented. It is hoped that the book will prove to be of sufficient use to the readers. For a better understanding of the theory. The text uses SI units and is addressed primarily to the undergraduate and postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Production Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering. It should also be of value to the graduate as well as to the practicing Engineer.
