Exploring Cancer Treatment with Dendritic Cells

One of the most important differences is the function of cell types. Unlike cancer cells, normal cells have their own specific functions and abnormal growth and reproduction without interruption. Cancer cells also attack the immune system, tissues and cells that have a protective role against infection. Although one of the functions of the immune system is to destroy abnormal and damaged cells, sometimes cancer cells survive this condition. Cancer is a type of genetic disease. Mutations are abnormal changes in the DNA of genes that affect cells and their growth and division, and can lead to various diseases.
