Exposure of Nigerian Children to Television and Video Violence
Details
Despite the fact that copious researches have been conducted in the Western World on children and media violence, there are clear indications that the influence of media violence on children in Africa, especially in Nigeria, has not been given adequate attention. This book opens up an avenue for more critical reasoning on how to manage the outcome of the cultivation theory of media effects on the Nigerian children. It also serves as a reference point for curriculum developers and mass media educators in the educational sector as well as media regulators in the broadcast industry.
