We collected and analysed the epidemiological, clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary data. The mean age of the patients was 26.84 years. Public road accidents were the most frequent aetiology (48%), and haematoma thickness was greater than 10 mm in 32% of cases. Treatment was conservative in 56% of cases and surgical in 32%. The outcome was favourable in 92% of cases.Extradural haematomas of the posterior cerebral fossa are a life-threatening diagnostic and therapeutic emergency. Surgical evacuation is required for forms that cause repercussions, with a favourable outcome in more than 80% of cases.
