Extremophiles

This book has recorded information on versatile extremophiles. They have inherent ability to grow and thrive under poly-extremists. Here, I have made an attempt to describe the various biomolecules and bioactive compounds such as enzymes, unique pigments, alkaloids, peptides, colored antibiotics, exopolysaccharides, siderophores, ectoine and proteins produced and released under stressful conditions by extremophiles, which have potential biotechnological applications, especially in agriculture, food, healthcare and medicine.

Dr. Bhagwan N. Rekadwad is a Microbiologist. He has completed his Ph.D. in 2014. Currently, he is working on various aspects of extremophiles for their biotechnological applications in healthcare, food, medicine and agriculture as well as to study the molecular mechanisms underlying the potential of such applications.
