Facilities Management Role in Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsible concept has been changed from philanthropy concerns to transparency and accountability, sustainability, environmental management and compliance with standards. Being a socially responsible company is an ideology for an organization. It can be achieved through the coordination between multiple aspects of a company such as the commitment of top management toward the society, financial strength, management of the built environment and corporate strategy. The Facilities Management profession involves managing built environments' operations for supporting the core business activity of an organization. Health and safety management, environmental management, compliance management, risk management and efficient resource utilization roles of facilities management is contributed to achieving the socially responsible targets of a company.
