Following the Legal reform that took place in the CSO sector, CSOs are given the green light to make interventions in the area of Human Rights, democracy, governance, and election. This opened a new chapter for the sector to make the needed change in terms of democratization and realization of human rights in Ethiopia. As a third wing next to government and private sectors, CSOs are expected to contribute to the sustainable development, peace, and security of a given country. Despite the wider space and enabling environment created for CSOs, they are not contributing and operating as expected considering the magnitude of the country's problems in terms of protection and promotion of Human Rights. Identifying the factors will contribute to minimize or eradicate the pulling factors and find solutions , set recommendations essential CSOs capacity improvement and for realization of human rights.
