Musculoskeletal injuries are one of the reasons for the types of absenteeism in companies and in turn influence productivity. Nowadays, work is being done in Occupational Health and ergonomics where primary prevention is essential to mitigate the emergence of this type of alterations. Currently, there is a need to provide workers with the necessary protection to reduce, through activities focused on prevention, all kinds of diseases and injuries of occupational origin, in order to provide them with a better quality of life. That in the volunteer fire department of Palmira there are osteomuscular injuries involved in a constant concern, since they present a daily exposure. Work-related musculoskeletal injuries are a reality that affects employees of companies worldwide. For this reason, establishing prevention strategies, through active breaks, contributes significantly to the reduction of musculoskeletal injuries.
