Factors Influencing Research Utilization in Nursing Practice
Details
Research utilization in Nursing Care is demanded by Swiss Legislation. The aim of the survey is to explore the factors influencing research utilization by French speaking clinical tutors of the University of Applied Sciences of western Switzerland (HESSO) in nursing and to give information allowing the taking of adequate decisions, which facilitate this practice and respect the legal injunctions. The study has confirmed the results obtained in Switzerland and abroad belonging to research utilization. It points out the necessity to investigate what prevents institutions from offering the necessary resources, and support for a research based practice, to look for solutions for coaching and to educate the teams to evidence-based nursing. The education of new professionals at university level of applied sciences alone will not allow respecting legal injunctions.
