Factors that predispose to accidents at work

The main objective of this research was: to describe the predisposing factors to occupational accidents with sharps in health personnel working at the general hospital "Dr. Egor Nucete". San Carlos, Cojedes state. Year 2020. The study conducted allowed to know the characteristics of accidents with sharp objects, being hollow needles the main object with which they happened; the shift with the highest occurrence of these incidents was the morning shift in the adult emergency during the month of October of the aforementioned year. In view of the above, it is recommended to apply preventive measures to reduce accidents, as well as to generate safe work practices.
