Fashion and Architecture

This book presents relevant relationships between design, fashion and architecture, and how these areas can contribute to each other. The aim is to expose the similarities and interferences that these areas have in their creative processes and how professionals work in each segment. For the development of this study, design methodologies within the fields of architecture and fashion were investigated. Analyses of the creative processes of two professionals in the field of design were also carried out: Italian architect Lina Bo Bardi, who became a naturalised Brazilian citizen, and Brazilian fashion designer Glória Coelho. The aim of the work is to investigate the creative processes in both fields, through the two professionals chosen, and how they resemble each other.

Natana Oliveira holds a degree in Fashion Design from the Federal University of Goiás and in Architecture and Urbanism from the State University of Goiás. As an academic, she worked as a teaching assistant and project coordinator for PRISMA (UEG Model Office). She develops studies and research based on interdisciplinarity between Design and related areas.
