This monograph is devoted to slide burnishing of components made of high-strength aluminium alloy 2024-T3. It has been proved that the desired fatigue behavior of the burnished component can be ensured by means of appropriate selection of the slide burnishing process parameters. The monograph is intended for engineers working in the field of metal processing and development of manufacturing methods for enhancement of fatigue life of metal structural components. Also, the book can be useful for students from technical universities.

Maximov, DSc, PhD, is Professor in Mechanics of Deformable Solid, Head of Department of Applied Mechanics and Head of Laboratory "Testing of Metals" at the Technical University of Gabrovo, Bulgaria. His research interests include modeling and optimization of mechanical systems with dissipative processes, including metal-forming processes.
