Frequently we use the term 'fatigue' to describe a person who can no longer provide efforts, suggesting that they have reached a threshold which cannot be crossed. The term also applies to structures that support loads that are repeated until failure. In the first case, the person no longer provides work, and, in the second case, the ruined structure is no longer in service so there is a certain similarity between the two cases. In this book, the notion of fatigue in the second case will be revealed by means of its definition and the lifetime calculation approaches, as well as the dimensioning of the elements of the structure which is subjected to variable loads. It offers insights for any one who needs to calculate the dimensioning or the lifetime of a structure.

MEDDOUR Belkacem wurde 1966 in Khenchela - ALGERIEN geboren. Er promovierte 2016 in Maschinenbau an der Universität Batna und erhielt 2018 die Akkreditierung der Universität. Derzeit ist er Dozent der Klasse A an der Fakultät für Maschinenbau. Universität von Khenchela. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Veröffentlichungen und Bücher.
