Details
Examination of the early (European) influences of the upcomming film and modern arts on William Faulkner's novel writing and demonstration of the interdependency of film and novel writing in his work. Part 2 traces the cinematic in Faulkner's novels, explores cinematic techniques in Faulkner's writing and looks for references to films and criticism in Faulkner's work as a novelist. Part 3 takes a look at screenwriting in Hollywood, examines the task of screenwriting and analyzes Faulkner's films and treatments.
