From recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in the usage of wireless networks for various multimedia applications. Video data contributes large amount of data traffic in different networks. Various video coding standards are proposed to improve the coding efficiencies and reduce the traffic. But the channel conditions in different networks at different time vary drastically, causing the loss or corruption in the video packets. This makes the receiver to run complex video coding algorithms to encode and reproduce quality video. Many Forward Error Correction(FEC) methods are in existence to deal with corrupted packets. Feedback Based FEC mechanism works much efficiently and will improve video quality.
