LESLEY MCMILLAN is Lecturer in Sociology, University of Sussex, UK. Her research and teaching interests include gendered and sexual violence against women, statutory and voluntary responses to gendered violence, women's sexual health, the sociology of trauma and rape, and the criminal justice process.
