This Report pronounces 9 weeks of field attachment engagement at Kitgum District Local Government, Northern Uganda for an attainment of a Degree from Makerere University in Uganda. The report was produced after 9 weeks of comprehensive field interventions as mandated by the District and University. During the 9 weeks, the following field activities were expedited: Orientation, psychological support; Birth and Death Registration (BDR); distribution of logistics; Training; office work; field visits; case management; counseling; recording cases; organization of FAL documents and Facilitating FAL classes; appraisal of community projects/ work; registration of CBOs; monitoring CDD (Community Driven Development) projects; mobilization; registration; receiving and verification of Farmers groups; writing projects' reports and minutes write up. The key emerging issues during the field attachment were: high rates of Gender Based Violence, high needs and expectations of community including adult learners, in effective Learning environment, high experiential learning, limited resources by the department to finance field activities, and low participation of communities in projects designs.
