Fin-de-Siècle Fictions, 1890s-1990s
Details
Fin-de-Siècle Fictions, 1890s- 1990s focuses on fin-de-siècle British and postmodern American fictions of apocalypse and investigates the ways in which these narratives demonstrate shifts in the relations among modern discourses of power and knowledge.
For anyone with an interest in fin-de-sicle fictions of all forms, including Gothic, horror, SF, steampunk, and cyberpunk, or even just science geeks who want to develop their understanding of the wider implications and impacts of technology and invention, Mousoutzanis's Fin-de-Sicle Fictions will be an inspiration for years to come. (Jillian Wingfield, The British Society for Literature and Science, October 29, 2019)
