Finance-Growth Nexus in Central Asia

Central Asian countries were on a difficult path of transition from a planned to a market economy. Although the reform in the region began much later than those of Central and Eastern Europe, the Central Asian countries are making significant changes to transform monetary and fiscal policies and the structure of their institutions and systems. The objective of this research is to investigate the finance-growth link at macro as well as micro levels in the countries of Central Asia.
