In the present global environment, the performance of any business unit must be outstanding for survival and growth. Every business undertaking has to give due importance to consumerism, government policies, suppliers and lenders. Thus, a business firm can be evaluated from various point of views. Performance measurement helps in judging as to how well, the business operations are carried out in an enterprise. A number of performance measures can be adopted to find out the financial soundness of a firm. Financial ratio analysis has been traditionally used to evaluate the financial performance of the enterprise.
