The linkage between economic growth and financial sector development is having a very significant phenomenon in economics literature. Most empirical studies have concluded that development of the financial sector accelerates economic growth. However, in the developing countries, the link between financial sector development and economic growth seems to be ambiguous at best. This book looks at the inter-link between financial sector development and economic growth using quarterly data between 1970 and 2006.
