Finding Answers for the Five Disputed Questions about Deliverance

The main purpose of this study was to find possibilities to reduce the discrepancies in questions about demonization and exorcism, especially through a better understanding of the nature of demonization. Four different research methods were used to find answers for these disputed questions: a research in related literature, a systematic theology approach, presentation of a deliverance ministry, and interviews of people having experienced demonization and deliverance. The research suggests that a convergence in the answers for these questions may be achieved by an increase in the exchange of experiences, especially across different cultures, combined with a new definition of demonization as demonic control, comporting with the biblical doctrine and narratives, as well as with the experiences of demonized people. The cross-cultural experience exchange is additionally emphasized in this study by purposely selecting a non-Western deliverance ministry as the one to be presented.
