Flag State responsibility in International Law

A ship is a means of transport in the same way as a plane, a train, a car. As with any means of transport, there are many actors involved and they all have a clearly defined role with very different responsibilities. This collection will be an opportunity to highlight a major player in a ship: the Flag State, in particular by highlighting its raison d'être but also by highlighting all its responsibilities on the ship at the international level.
