Flight and displacement in the last decades

European and global migration relations with their specific patterns and spatial movements are the subject of broad consideration. Especially the debate around the year 2015 about a global refugee issue and its importance for the European Union and thus also for Austria as a migration country let the interest in the topic grow. For political education and intercultural competence in teaching - didactics/teaching and adult education, the reference arises from the challenges in the respective educational field. Complex questions of a knowledge society of Europe (and the world) require a consideration of migration relations. Since the nineties there have been changes in migration movementsin the form of immigration, emigration, internal migration, flight-asylum displacement and the different types of migration.
