Nowadays the importance of the research for new materials in the design of engineering components has become essential in terms of proposal and competitiveness. This led to the need for flexible patterning approaches, such as the fabrication of 3D periodic structures composed of colloidal, polymeric or semiconductor materials. All the approaches concerning 3D printing can be summarized into the general concept of Additive manufacturing, an innovative method able to manufacture three-dimensional objects of any shape from a digital model. There is a large variety of functional links utilized, and it is essential for the designer to verify the requirements for the injection to occur. The topic of this book is to analyze the correlation between functional inks with different properties and the feasibility of the injection.
