Food and Feeding Habits of U.vittatus

The Mullidae (goatfishes) is widely distributed in many temperate, subtropical and tropical marine waters.The goatfishes (Mullidae) include about 50 bottom-foraging fish species. Following behaviour is a foraging mode commonly recorded for reef fishes during heterospecific feeding associations. This book shed light on food and feeding habits of the fish of U.vittatus collected at weekly intervals from the mechanized trawlers, which were operated off Visakhapatnam, coast of Bay of Bengal and the catches were landed at the Visakhapatnam fishing harbour.
