Food That Turned From a Blessing to a Curse

While the first world is moving to secure organic food, the third world countries are still suffering from food scarcity and contamination with pesticide, veterinary drug residue, and heavy metals contamination. The booklet is the gathering of studies, which took place in the Republic of Sudan, that country in east Africa, which was announced by (FAO); as the Graveyard of obsolete pesticides in east Africa. Thus, the acceleration of cancer incidence rate is totally understood. Also, the antimicrobial resistance became a global issue, should be solved to avoid the devastating results represented in microbial diseases spread. The current work, targeting foods of animal origin, attempts to explore just a portion of the reality of pesticides and veterinary drugs residues in Khartoum state, capital of the Republic of Sudan. Seventy-five milk, 50 meat samples, 100 egg samples, besides fish and water samples, were all collected from different parts of the state.
