Fraudulent practices in public procurement in DR Congo

Roads that do not last long, supplies that are not of good quality, unsatisfactory services and consultants that are not always well qualified are the results of fraudulent practices in public procurement. In order to combat these practices, it is important to be more aware of them and also to better detect the signs of fraud in the procedures. An overview of the procedure for awarding public contracts in the Democratic Republic of Congo is done, we have focused on the consistency of fraudulent practices in the phase of awarding public contracts by detailing a typology of fraud because this is where strategic calculations are multiplied. Teachers, researchers, students and actors working in the public procurement sector will find in this book an important tool to quench their thirst.

Father of three children, the Author is married to Mrs Albine Chouchou N'SANA. He holds a Master's degree in International Law from the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin and an Executive Master's degree in Management and Business Law from the University of Liege in Belgium. Currently teaching at the ISC-Kinshasa and researching at the University of Liege.
