Frei Serafim Avenue

This study seeks, through the case study of Avenida Frei Serafim, to understand and analyse how the modern movement evolved - its phases and classifications - in the architecture of Teresina. The objective of this research is to observe the treatment given to modern heritage, which sometimes undergoes changes ranging from reversible, partial, total decharacterisation to demolition. The work will contribute to research on modern architecture in Teresina, studying the evolution of the modern movement in the city from a landscape perspective, not just from the perspective of individual buildings. The methodology used will be historical and architectural research.
