The competitive examinations have become a routine procedure of recruitment and admissions for higher education/placements. The questions in these tests are objective, multiple, large in number and varied nature. This is a tough task for those who face such a question paper. The question should be suitable phrased and should have only paramount answer. Thus, both examiner and the examinee have to burn mid-night oil to in true literary sense. A subject like agriculture science encompasses a large number of disciplines. Thus, one has to scan through a number of text books and periodicals to prepare oneself to take and come out successful in a competitive test. There are so many books on objective type of questions in agriculture but none on 'frequently asked questions' which satisfy the basic knowledge of competitors. Sometimes after the stress of final exams, it may be difficult to adequately answer of interview questions, though. Keeping the aforesaid points in view, an effort has been made to compile a question bank on Frequently Asked Questions with answers on various aspects of agricultural sciences to serve the purpose.

Harphool Singh has obtained his M. Sc. degree in Agronomy in 1994 and Ph.D in 1999. Since 1996 he has worked as Assistant Professor and published 17 research papers in scientific journals, 25 popular articles and presently working as an Agronomist in AICRP Project on 'Integrated Farming Systems' at S.K.R.A.U, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India.
