The water quality of any water body is determined by physical, chemical, and biological parameters. Biological parameters play an important role in studying pollution's effect on the water body. Density, different growth patterns, and their biomass production measurement give an idea about the studied water body's pollution status, productivity, and limnological status. This book has an informative description (mostly morphological characters) of algal components, macrophytes, zooplankton, and benthic fauna.
