The book deals with explaining the stir casting procedure to fabricate metal matric composites, in specific a combination made of aluminum matrix and titanium boride particle reinforcement. The procedures for basic characterization of the composite is also explained in detail. The book also presents the procedures to join such difficult to weld composites using friction stir welding process, optimization of process parameters to obtain sound weld, tooling techniques and numerical modeling and simulation of the process. The basic characterization of the weldment is also discussed in a separate chapter.

He is a specialist in friction stir welding, metal matrix composites, synthesizing nano materials and additive manufacturing. He has over 50 research publications to his credit.
