From respecting nature to subjugating it :

Ecological crises have become increasingly worrying and are of major concern to everyone. This situation of ecological precariousness is actually the result of a change in man's attitude towards nature, due to anthropocentrism, which gives man the power to dominate the world. Once respected and considered as a partner, nature has now become an object of domination with the evolution of science and technology. This excessive exploitation has endangered the planet's equilibrium. Michel Serres proposes a natural contract that invites humanity to respect and protect nature effectively. He calls for a change of mentality in order to establish a climate of peace between man and nature, which would guarantee the survival of future generations.
