From the Sacred to the Profane: Textiles and Fashion in Peru is a journey through 5,000 years of Peruvian textile history through the keys that reveal it as a paradigm in universal design and a living heritage of the nation. Textiles in Peru is a vigorous activity sustained thanks to the rich fibres of origin and artisanal activity, which are the magma of a promising future in the fashion industry. This essay seeks answers in the content of the textile present in its meanings and in the language that constitutes it in order to recreate it in metalanguages that open the way to the future through fashion.

Die studierte Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaftlerin der Katholischen Universität von Peru, Textildesignerin mit Spezialisierung auf einheimische Fasern und Beraterin widmet sich seit zwanzig Jahren ihrer Forschung. Sie hat "Del ritual a la moda, la textilería peruana en el mercado global" (2009) und "Lambayeque, algodón nativo y artesanía textil" (2016) veröffentlicht.
