Details

This book aims to reflect on the impact of daily violence on a person's life, based on a case study at the São Paulo Family Therapy Institute. Through the narratives told by the teenager Pedro, of his life permeated by domestic violence, this work draws on the following sources of knowledge: Tibetan Buddhism, and Lama Gangchen Rinpoche's concept of Inner Peace, recent neuroscience studies, and the finding of the effects of violence on brain architecture, systemic relational theory and social constructionism, the theoretical bases of the care in question. The study aims to broaden our view of the urgent need to address the issue of domestic violence as therapists, educators, health professionals and as citizens responsible for building a Culture of Peace.
