From words to images:
Details
Storytelling is part of the human condition. Both cinema and literature have addressed this facet, seeking to reconstruct in their own way what remains for posterity. Their concepts span generations and are perpetuated. Both are fictional narratives with their own specifications; while cinema offers the finished image, literature allows the reader to create their own universe of images. When filmography undergoes literary adaptation, new topics come up for discussion. But one element that always draws attention when it comes to audiovisual media is the work of the screenwriter, who is sometimes forgotten and in most situations is not even mentioned in the credits. Much is discussed about the final result of the film, the series, the soap opera. But if the script is the origin of everything, how is it made? How can these words be transcribed into images? These are some of the questions raised throughout this research.
