The implant supported fixed prosthesis is an excellent treatment option for edentulous patient with sufficient bone & adequate muscle tone with no support desired from the prosthesis. A fixed restoration provides the psychological advantage of acting & feeling similar to natural teeth whereas overdentures even fully implant supported remain a removable prosthesis. As compared to overdenture prosthesis, fixed prosthesis tend to last longer require lesser maintenance & exhibit lesser prosthesis-related complications.
