Functional Competence in the Elderly

Over the many decades the importance of psychology of elderly and functional competence has increased exponently. With the boom in its popularity, it has become an instrumental thrust area for students of Gero Psychology and researchers. The present book provides a workable base for the understanding of basic concepts of functional competence in the elderly people. It is a small effort by the authors to bring down certain practical / advanced aspects of mental and physical well being in the elderly and help the readers to whose welfare is entrusted to them.

Author obtained Ph.D from Sri Venkateswara University,Tirupathi,India, in 2010.He published 6 articles in International and National Journals.He attended 15 conferences.He is bestowed with Young Scientist Fellowship by Andhra Pradesh Council of Science and Technology in 2007.At present he is a Junior Scientific Officer at Sports Authority of India.
