Functional performance after stroke using Motor Imagery

Neurological rehabilitation will always be an open field for daily findings and the discovery of revolutionary treatments aimed at functional recovery. Virtual reality is still little explored in the clinical field of rehabilitation, but its benefits open up an exorbitant range of possibilities within physiotherapy, making possible interventions and treatments that were unimaginable a few years ago. Motor Imagery brings new possibilities to the neurological field where we can incorporate mental practice alongside physical rehabilitation in order to improve motor learning and accelerate the functional independence of people with sequelae of neurological diseases.

Sie ist im Landesinneren Brasiliens geboren und aufgewachsen und hat ihr Studium der Physiotherapie an der staatlichen Universität von Pará abgeschlossen. Sie verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrung in der neurofunktionellen Pflege in der Stadt Santarém. Derzeit arbeitet sie mit neurologischen und traumatischen orthopädischen Patienten und absolviert ein Postgraduierten-Studium in Sportphysiotherapie.
