Functioning and Effectiveness of JKCs

The government of Andhra Pradesh plans to provide technical education in to the door step of students irrespective of their social economic status. To fulfill this it has started many professional colleges. The students coming out of the colleges are not in a position to compete in the global market as they are lacking of "Industry grade skills". For connecting a link between industry and academia and also imparting the "Industry grade skills" to the students the government of A.P started JKC in 2004. Since then it has been doing effortless job towards filling the gap between the industry and institution. This study is taken up to know the impact of JKC on all the persons concerned i.e. coordinators, trainers and trainees. The study is designed to fulfill this aspect so as to know the gaps in the planning and implementation of JKC programme and suggest appropriate remedial measures to improve it.
