In India nearly 75% of the people live in rural areas and 39% of them live below the poverty line. According to National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau (1996) Indicates only about 10% of Pre-school children with normal weights. Similarly the adult nutrition status have normal nutritional status while the rest suffered from different degrees of chronic energy deficiency. The policy makers and the Govt. of India have unanimously come to conclusion that to implement the Nutritional Development Programmes The purpose a Programme of health, nutrition, disability hope that the benefits to like to down to different sections in general incourse of time or specific programmes for the development of specified areas or section of the people.So ultimate focus of developmental programmes is on people. In this context, it is not possible for the rural development without a reference to the people's participation. This state of Andhra pradesh has introduced Velugu programme to eliminate poverty and improve the standard of the living of the people. The vision 2020 for Swarnandhrapradesh the Velugu project aims at meeting the needs of the extreme poor.
