The basic purpose of this book is to supply the need for an elementary course in geology and also several aspects of petroleum geology which need to be examined, but they are poorly documented. In this book, an attempt has been made to bring together the basic facts and ideas of various branches of geology. This book is particularly useful to those students who have neither time nor the opportunity to read the detailed literature in order to grasp the fundamental concepts. The language of this book is simple and suitable sketches and figures have been given to illustrate the subject-matter clearly.

Hammad Tariq Janjuhah se licenció en Geología Aplicada por la UAJ&K de Pakistán en noviembre de 2011. Obtuvo un Máster en Geología del Petróleo en febrero de 2014 en la Universidad de Malaya, Malasia. Se incorporó al SEACaRL de la Universidad Tecnológica PETRONAS como investigador en junio de 2014. En noviembre de 2014, continuó sus estudios de doctorado.
