Fundraising

Fundraising or fund raising is the process of soliciting and gathering contributions as money or other resources, by requesting donations from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, or governmental agencies. Although fundraising typically refers to efforts to gather money for non-profit organizations, it is sometimes used to refer to the identification and solicitation of investors or other sources of capital for-profit enterprises.

Nicolás Pírez obtained his B.Sc. (Biology) at Buenos Aires University, working at the Lab of Dr. Farina. He joined the Lab of Dr. Wachowiak at Boston University where he earned his Ph.D. (Neurobiology). In 2007 he was awarded with the AChemS Don Tucker Memorial Award. Currently, he is a PostDoc in the Lab of Dr. Griffith at Brandeis University.
