Transgenic crop is at present a demand of time. Through breeding and agricultural techniques we have achieved the highest production possible. But demand of food is still increasing. So to narrow the gap of demand and production let us adopt GM crops. But it is not easy to develop such crops. My learning of plant biotechnology started while doing my MSc in Botany at the University of Dhaka. This got further furnished at my PhD at ICGEB. Along with doing research in the field of PTC, Mol. Biol., bioinformatics, proteomics and toxicology; I am now passionate about teaching students to improve their understanding of this fascinating topic.
