This is a case study of the impact a future search conference had on Gas Distribution and Delivery, business within the Public Service of New Jersey utility company as told through the eyes of the participants involved in this study.The intervention was a key milestone in positioning a regulated monopoly to a competitive,deregulated business. This historical summary of the future search conference impact covered a ten year span of time and created four ripples of work for the participants engaged in this organizational change effort. The first ripple demonstrated how large-scale chanage methodology can align diverse stakeholder groups, faced with complex challenges that require full collaboration to to solve. The second ripple addressed the need for a new business model predicated on empowerment and the need for both efficiency and effectiveness of execution. The third ripple focused on the importance of organization culture & creating a culture that would support new business model. The fourth ripple highlighted the importance of supervisory perception of the work and their role in creating a more integrated business strategy.
